Throughout her medical career she has volunteered her time in low resource areas at home and abroad. She studied Latino health and culture in medical school and worked in the free migrant clinics in upstate New York. Dr. Miller has treated children with late presenting clubfoot and hip dysplasia in Mexico and Guatemala. During the height of the pandemic, she spent 3 months leading a team of local orthopedic surgery residents at a trauma hospital in rural Kenya. Dr. Miller is working as part of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Team, treating children and adults with limb deformities, deficiencies, and discrepancies.
